About Paradigm Physical Therapy

27 Years Of Physical Therapy In West Texas

Paradigm Physical Therapy was created in 1995 by William H. Dodson.

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) William H. Dodson had a dream of bringing health and fitness to the Permian Basin. Paradigm Physical Therapy has been involved in supporting many of the local sports teams including the Jackalopes.

Helping individuals regain strength and quality of life has always been of great importance to Dr. Bill. Over the last 27 years, his practice has grown to multiple locations and treats hundreds of patients daily.

Dr. Bill uses each unique opportunity he has to offer encouragement to each of his patients. Because of the results that the Paradigm Physical Therapy team brings to the community, the clinic’s reputation has grown amongst the medical community.

Bringing Innovation To Physical Therapy

As Paradigm Physical Therapy grew over time, it became apparent that there was a need for a change in how outpatient clinics utilized technology. As a consequence, Dr. Bill Dodson embarked on a journey to create software that would eventually revolutionize how physical therapists interact with their patients Interactive Advanced Medicine or, iAM-PT, was created. It has since become widely accepted as one of the most functional pieces of software available to physical therapists today. Paradigm Physical Therapy utilizes this software at each of their locations, allowing the clinics to operate efficiently while reducing clinical errors. What Is Physical Therapy And Why Is It Important?

If you’ve suffered from an illness or injury, physical therapy might be recommended by your physician as a form of treatment. Physical therapy is a form of treatment that aids in improving function and mobility while reducing pain, and hopefully increasing the quality of your life. Because many people suffer from acute and chronic pain, they are often referred to physical therapists. Physical therapists often treat patients with non-invasive forms of therapy that involve stretching, massaging, and exercising different parts of the body. Physical therapists often employ dry needling, or electro dry needling as a way to increase blood flow to injured areas of the body. This form of treatment is combined with other treatments to accelerate recovery.

What Is A Physical Therapist?

A Physical Therapist is a licensed health professional who underwent thorough training through specific graduate programs.

Although Physical Therapists do not replace physicians or surgeons, they often work with them directly.

To be eligible to apply for the national exam, a person would need to have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Also, states may require an additional state examination or test to be licensed in that state.

What Does A Physical Therapist Do?

Physical Therapists spend time evaluating your physical health and may develop a treatment plan based on your specific condition. PT’s often employ multiple forms of treatment with each patient. A typical regimen might consist of Stretching, Exercising, Manual Therapy, and Electro Dry Needling. Each of these treatments offers specific benefits to the patient, and when combined may help reduce pain and increase functionality faster.

So thankful I was referred here. After many years of painful swelling in my legs and feet, I was referred here. My doctor said they are the only ones in our area doing lymphatic massage. Dr. Bill is confident, knowledgeable, and friendly. The whole staff from the front desk to the therapy floor are friendly, efficient and helpful. They all knew my name from the first day. They had a consultant order a machine, I can use daily at home. I can slip on shoes I haven't been able to in years. Highly recommend this for all kinds of physical therapy. What a great place☆☆☆☆☆

For months after my car accident I felt like I was getting no answers or effective treatment from various doctors. One of them finally referred me to Paradigm for physical therapy and it was a game changer. I left after the first session already feeling improvement. Dr. Bill is excellent. He is determined to help you feel better and offers options for treatment that were not available at my previous PT. The entire staff is amazing as well.
